CHPTR VIII | The Caftan Gown

This is how I love my dresses : long sleeved, flowing and revealing the body in a subtle way.

A full-length gown with a relaxed caftan silhouette. Cut for volume through the body with long sleeves and a straight hem. Designed to drape loosely and move fluidly, offering ease and comfort, while still being elegant. Finished with a clean neckline and minimal detailing on the sleeves.

The fabrics are crêpe, silk satin or silky satin. What's the difference?

  • Silk satin is satin woven from silk fibers. Naturally breathable, temperature-regulating, and lightweight, with a refined shine.

  • Silky satin is satin woven from non-silk fibers (often viscose or polyester) that mimics the look and drape of silk. Slightly more durable and lower maintenance, with a similar smooth finish.

Both options offer fluid drape and a satin surface; the difference lies in fiber content rather than appearance. As always at DLFN, all fabrics are designer deadstock.
