CHPTR X | The Kaftans

This is one of the pieces that started DLFN. And to be completely honest, the collection was ready last year, but just not in time for Summer. That’s why I waited and only launched it now aka the beauty of free will and slow fashion.

Each piece is handmade using leftover designer fabrics — giving high-quality materials a second life and reducing waste in the process.

I worked with breathable linens, soft cotton blends, and fluid viscose fabrics chosen not only for their comfort and drape, but also for their ability to bring out the effortless elegance of a well-made kaftan.

Every piece is created slowly and in small batches, with attention to detail and respect for the fabric. No two kaftans are exactly alike, making each one a truly unique addition to your wardrobe.

Thanks to its form, the design is wearable from size S to M.

CHPTR IX | The Kimonos 2.0

Introducing a remake of an earlier drop in the collection: handmade kimonos 2.0, putting your earlier requests into a new and improved design: longer sleeves, ankle lenght and a waistband. Giving the whole thing an even more luxurious view.

Each piece is crafted from luxurious deadstock designer fabrics, featuring eye-catching prints that make every kimono truly one-of-a-kind.

CHPTR VIII | The Caftan Gown.

This is how I love my dresses : long sleeved, flowing and revealing the body in a subtle way.

A full-length gown with a relaxed caftan silhouette. Cut for volume through the body with long sleeves and a straight hem. Designed to drape loosely and move fluidly, offering ease and comfort, while still being elegant. Finished with a clean neckline and minimal detailing on the sleeves.

DLFN is a small-batch slow fashion label founded and handmade by Delfien, after corporate hours and from the heart. Each piece is designed, cut, and handmade in Belgium using carefully sourced deadstock designer fabrics, luxurious matériels rescued from waste and reimagined into limited-edition clothing.

What began as a personal sewing journey at age 16 evolved into a passion project born from life’s pauses from health challenges to motherhood to a career in the corporate beauty world.

Every drop features one timeless design, reinterpreted in a selection of rare fabrics. No mass production, no restocks, no rush.

This is slow fashion made at human speed, for people who value uniqueness, quality, and story-driven style. Without deadlines.

Two years ago, this design sparked my return to sewing . It’s taken time, trial, and a whole lot of patience to perfect the pattern and bring it to life just the way I imagined.

Each piece is handmade using carefully sourced designer deadstock fabric — a collection of striped textiles I spent over 8 months tracking down to find just the right balance of texture, color, and movement.

CHPTR IV introduces a timeless silhouette interpreted as both a maxi dress and an elegant top, crafted in three carefully selected deadstock designer fabrics. This limited drop is a celebration of slow fashion — made in Belgium, in small batches, and with intention.

Both pieces are designed in a taille unique pattern to flatter and fit comfortably across sizes XS to L, thanks to a relaxed yet structured cut. The dress features hidden pockets and delicate gathers that drape beautifully around the neck, offering movement, ease, and understated elegance.
